'Challenge accepted': Is Tyson Fury next for Anthony Joshua?

British-Nigerian boxer, Anthony Oluwafemi Joshua, knocked out former unified champion Wladimir Klitschko in the eleventh round of saturday's title fight in London to retain the IBF World Heavyweight belt and also claim the vacant WBA Heavyweight belt.

Klitschko was eventually stopped in the 11th round of the dramatic heavyweight bout at Wembley Stadium.

The veteran had even looked the more likely victor as he defied a 14-year age gap and was outboxing Joshua in the latter stages until the Briton produced a blistering finish to take his unbeaten record to 19 wins.

"It was one of the best heavyweight fights I've seen and Klitschko will probably say he wants a rematch", Hearn told reporters.

According to Adedamola, Joshua's granddad once took out three men all by himself in a fight.

Padres acquire Matt Szczur from Cubs
The Cubs officially parted ways with Matt Szczur, sending the outfielder to San Diego for minor league pitcher Justin Hancock. Hancock, 26, is 24-29 with a 3.91 ERA in 116 games, 90 starts, in seven minor league seasons in the Padres organization.

Wladimir Klitschko may have lost, but he proved against Anthony Joshua that he's a true champion.

Joshua survived a knockdown for the first time in his professional career in the sixth round and looked close to surrendering his unbeaten record until his late bombardment forced the stoppage.

Klitschko then returned the favour in the very next round as he got Joshua down on the canvas.

The heavyweight has also said he would fight Klitschko again - another clash which would draw huge attention.

Klitschko, 41, defied many who believed he would be steamrollered in the early rounds by his younger opponent, and held off the Briton behind his jab.

Judge agrees to toss Aaron Hernandez's murder conviction
Prosecutor Patrick Bomberg had argued Hernandez "should not be able to accomplish in death what he could not accomplish in life". Aaron Hernandez died a convicted murderer, but in the eyes of the law, his conviction has been erased.

"Anthony knows the support here is incredible, so why not make this the Mecca of boxing?" Joshua hurt Klitschko with a hard left hook that knocked him down.

"Two gentlemen fought each other".

The fight was deemed so important that it was only the third in history, and the first staged outside of the United States, to be broadcast on both American network rivals HBO and Showtime. Joshua sent Klitschko to the canvas in Round 5, but the Ukrainian worked his way back into the fight, sending Joshua crumbling to the canvas in Round 6 and seemed to be turning the tide. Anthony was better today.

McCracken - who masterminded Carl Froch's victory over George Groves in the same venue - was asked to compare Joshua's stunning triumph over Klitschko with the best performances of Froch.

"I wasn't surprised that the fight ended in a knockout, I had predicted that it would surely happen but I didn't get the round correct". The referee called a halt to give Joshua the TKO.
