Harry Kane to captain England against Scotland tomorrow, says Gareth Southgate

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has stated that he wants to win the Ballon d'Or. Five in 17 isn't a bad record but it is something I want to improve.

"I don't really look at records but I definitely look at ex-players and how they played and what I can use to help my game", Kane said.

I'll get excited once we get to a tournament and start doing well.

"Ronaldo won La Liga and the Champions League and that is why he wins it. Messi is in a similar situation".

"To do that, it isn't just individual".

Kane, ironically, was one of the players who crumbled, booed by the team's own supporters and warranting three out of ten in L'Equipe's ratings the next day.

As Gulf tensions flare, reports of hacking pour in
Both Qatar and the U.S. sought to show the rift wasn't affecting military cooperation . They cited no change to the status of al-Udeid Air Base.

We wrote on Thursday that Jose Mourinho's side should test Tottenham with a £100m bid for Kane, and Merson has echoed those sentiments.

"It is going to be a great atmosphere but one I am sure me and the lads will thrive off, " Lallana said.

"It's not often you score seven goals in two games to finish a season and claim the Golden Boot as well".

Ominously for Scotland, it is more than a year since Kane scored for his country after cutting a tired figure
during England's Euro 2016 misadventures last summer. He wants to be one of the best in the world. "During a game you want different people to step forward, whether that's with the ball or influencing others".

It can be very hard to keep a squad entertained when you have such a long time together before an global, so it was a good idea.

"We got a good home win the last time [1-0 against Slovenia] and we know from that performance what we can do to hurt England", he said. "They want to do well for their country and they're a great group to work with".

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad-Zarif called it "repugnant" on Twitter and said the Iranian people "reject" the statement. Iran's Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi said that 41 IS-linked terrorists were detained, Mehr news agency reported June 9.

"I am 23 and hopefully have quite a few years ahead of me to learn and get better".

"I've worked with him at the under-21s and I know his mentality".

Kane already signified his interest to captain England and he'll get that shot in his 18th cap for the senior squad. I thought they would have gone £90m or £100m for him. You see the level of finishing from the likes of [Robbie] Fowler, [Paul] Scholes and [Alan] Shearer, and you could see that level from Harry from the first day. There was the question of whether he could transfer that into matches because he wasn't playing for Spurs at the time, but he's done that now.

The 45-year-old took great pride in playing for his own country and pushes all his players to achieve worldwide honours, often going out of his way to reach compromises with the England manager of the day. "Part of it is proving that on an global stage", added Kane.

Southgate's squad against Scotland is a young one with 23-year-old Harry Kane set to captain the team at Hampden Park and he could be partnered in attack by 19-year-old Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

Those are the sort of performances the Spurs frontman is now hoping to build on in an England shirt, having so far managed only five goals in 17 appearances.

India rejects US President's allegation on Paris climate accord

"But that's the third season in a row he's scored more than 20, and if you had a wish-list of qualities in a striker he ticks every box".
