Harman holding on: Savannah native leads US Open

Thomas became the fifth player to shoot 63 in a U.S. Open and the first player at 9 under.

Fowler's seven birdies were from no more than 12 feet, including three in a row around the turn.

Haack still remembers the battle between Harman and Rickie Fowler in the quarterfinals of the 2009 NCAA Championship.

"This is my first time in contention in a major".

"If someone shoots 9-under tomorrow in the top few (players), then I will have to shoot 10-under, I guess", Fleetwood said.

"He loves golf. He actually wants a new driver or something, but I think we can find him something in the shop at the end of the day", Jonas said.

The 30-year-old from Georgia had never gone past the second round in a US Open before this year, missing the cut on his two previous visits in 2012 and 2015.

ERIN, Wis. (AP) - Tommy Fleetwood had no problem picking out his best shot of the day.

United Kingdom plans to offer "very generous" terms for European Union citizens after Brexit
But May, weakened by her election flop, opted to keep Hammond in his job along with other key ministers. Two former Conservative prime ministers have also urged May to soften her approach.

The bogey left him with a 4-under 68 for the day and a three-way tie for second place at 11 under - tied with Brooks Koepka and Justin Thomas, and one shot behind Brian Harman.

And the prime beneficiary was Thomas, who catapulted up the leaderboard with his record-breaking nine-under-par 63.

"The weather has been so good", he said.

They fearlessly attacked the pins and nobody was more ruthless than Thomas, who ripped apart the links-style layout carding nine birdies and two bogeys before capping his record-smashing effort by coolly rolling in an eight-foot putt for eagle at the par-five 18th. "Someone could get out there early and shoot a low score".

No one took advantage like Fowler.

But Oostihuizen knows how quickly momentum can swing at a U.S. Open.

Thomas was already on course for a share of the lead as he stepped up to the 18th having carded nine birdies against two bogeys in a spectacular round. And my short game is pretty good. "I'm excited about all those things".

There are 15 players within seven strokes, so it's still a wide open tournament.

Crestfallen that Donald Trump rolling back detente: Cubans
Trump told he would establish the new measures which prohibit the financial transactions with Cuba's military-backed tourism. Ramon supported Trump and welcomed the tightening of the rules on dealing with military-run enterprises.

"It's going to be weird", Thomas said about the time he has to pass before teeing off on Sunday. But I did get a massive break on the 15th. I still expect to play well and compete at a high level out here.

One thing you can count on for certain on Sunday is that the streak of six majors being won by a first-time victor will grow to seven. They are all seeking their first major championship and barring a miracle comeback by someone like Louis Oosthuizen or Sergio Garcia (who both fall under "The Field" at 25/1), we will have a first time major victor for the seventh consecutive major. He shot 72 in the third round for an 8-under 202.

Thomas's pyrotechnics were the main event on a day filled with thrilling shots and wild scoring swings.

World No.9 Rickie Fowler, who held the halfway lead, earned solo fifth with a 68, with Players Championship victor Si Woo Kim a shot back alone in sixth after also carding a 68.

"I'm probably going to be six behind teeing off tomorrow, six or maybe even more", Oosthuizen said.

"I'm looking forward to hearing about that when I get back to the house since J.T. and I are staying together", said Fowler. "He's upstairs and I'm down in the basement area", Fowler said.

"I've been there a handful of times and had some good finishes but I'm looking forward to getting the job done".
