Mueller Has 'Not Yet' Decided to Investigate Trump

The attorney, Jay Sekulow, appeared on several Sunday news programs to counter the impression that Trump has acknowledged he's become a target of the expanding Russian Federation probe.

President Donald Trump angrily decried as a "distraction" the "witch hunt" against him Sunday, as his lawyer insisted the USA leader was not under criminal investigation in the sweeping probe of Russian meddling in American elections.

He said, however, that Sekulow's comments could mean the White House was taking the position that no investigation exists until Mueller's team officially confirms it, disregarding any media reports based on anonymous sourcing. There has been no notification from the special counsel's office that the president is under investigation.

Appearing on a series of morning news programs, attorney Jay Sekulow said that a Friday tweet from Trump was specifically directed at a story in The Washington Post about the expanding probe into Russia's election meddling. The official demanded anonymity because the official was not authorized to be named discussing the deliberations. "So no, the president's not under investigation, has not been", he said.

When Wallace noted that Sekulow had just admitted Trump was under investigation, Sekulow accused the host of trying to "re-phrase" his words - prompting Wallace to say "the tape will speak for itself".

Vehicle hits crowd near London mosque
The Finsbury Park Mosque - located in a vibrant, multicultural area of north London - was once closely associated with extremism. Rahman said he and another man wrestled the suspect to the ground and held him down for 20 to 30 minutes before police arrived.

"The best thing that could happen for the president, and the country, is a full and credible investigation", Rubio said.

The allegation arose after former FBI director James Comey testified that Trump had asked him to drop an investigation a few times into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

He was apparently referring to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who wrote a memo to denounce Comey and subsequently appointed Mueller (pictured below) to continue the probe.

Yet Donald Trump is used to firing subordinates who don't get the results he wants.

"Let me be crystal clear so you completely understand, we have not received, nor are we aware of any investigation of the president of the United States". "You don't know whether he's under investigation or not". "Because the special counsel, under the special counsel regulations, reports still to the Department of Justice, not an independent counsel", Sekulow said.

Forward Air Corporation (NASDAQ:FWRD) Trading Down - Short Interest increased by 18.69%
Finally, TheStreet upgraded Forward Air Corporation from a "c+" rating to a "b" rating in a report on Monday, February 27th. Sealed Air Corporation is engaged in food safety and security, facility hygiene and product protection business.

Constitutional scholars have debated the question for years, though the Department of Justice has said in formal opinions written under Presidents Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon that the constitution bars a sitting president from facing legal indictment.

Has anyone told Trump he's not being investigated?

"There's a limitation on Twitter, as we all know", he said.

Meanwhile, another lawyer, Washington veteran John Dowd, has joined the Trump legal team.

This will likely go on in the same vein for months, with Sekulow and others defending Trump against a very specific charge of obstruction of justice through his firing of Comey.

Germany: no punishment for UK, but EU exit good for no one
Meanwhile Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said it would leave the single market but remain in the customs union if they were in charge of the deal.

"The message the president is sending through his tweets is that he believes the rule of law doesn't apply to him and that anyone who thinks otherwise will be fired".
