Mueller Hires 13 Lawyers For Russia Probe

President Donald Trump complained on social media about the wide-ranging investigation of Russian interference in the USA election as Robert Mueller appeared to widen his probe to include whether Trump tried to obstruct justice. "Nice." And then: "You are witnessing the single greatest WITCH HUNT in American political history - led by some very bad and conflicted people!"

Citing unidentified sources, the news station reported that Rosenstein told Brand she would be tasked with the final decisions regarding resources made available for the probe, headed by special counsel and former FBI director Robert Mueller, and whether anyone is prosecuted because of the investigation.

Mueller was named as special counsel after Trump abruptly fired Comey, who up to his dismissal had been heading the Russian Federation probe into Moscow's alleged interference in the USA presidential election.

While the Republican Trump administration initially said Mr Rosenstein's letter was the reason the president fired Mr Comey on May 9, Mr Trump later said he did so because of the "Russia thing".

The Finsbury Park Mosque - located in a vibrant, multicultural area of north London - was once closely associated with extremism. Rahman said he and another man wrestled the suspect to the ground and held him down for 20 to 30 minutes before police arrived.

The Post also reported that Mueller was looking into possible financial connections between Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, now a top White House adviser, and a Russian bank, as well as other financial dealings with Russia on the part of others in the Trump entourage. Mr Comey testified that Mr Trump directed him in February to drop an FBI investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn relating to the Russian Federation matter. "Witch Hunt", the president wrote in a Friday tweet.

The op-ed comes just days after a friend claimed that President Donald Trump was considering firing the special counsel. Or Rosenstein might seek to forestall such a confrontation by recusing himself from further involvement in the Mueller-led probe, on the grounds that his own actions in firing Comey were now a subject of the investigation.

"The message the president is sending through his tweets is that he believes the rule of law doesn't apply to him and that anyone who thinks otherwise will be fired", Feinstein said. When The Washington Post reported this week that Mueller was investigating Trump for obstruction of justice, a spokesman for the President's private attorney called the leak "outrageous, inexcusable and illegal".

Brand was sworn in as associate attorney general on May 22.

Special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating the Trump campaign's ties to the Kremlin, but according to the Washington Post, the scope of his inquiry has now widened.

Rosenstein told a Senate Appropriations subcommittee Tuesday that he saw no cause for Mueller's dismissal.

The complaints Trump aired Thursday afternoon followed a pair of morning tweets. The order also covers separate inquiries into several key Trump associates including Flynn; campaign adviser Paul Manafort and his business partner, Rick Gates; foreign-policy aide Carter Page; and outside adviser Roger Stone.

Rosenstein took command of the investigation in early March, when Sessions announced that he was recusing himself due to his substantial role in Trump's presidential campaign a year ago. Attention is focused on the question of obstruction simply because so much of Trump's campaign to deep-six the investigation has been conducted openly, at full volume.
