Kane rescues England as hat tricks light up Euro qualifiers

Harry Kane was left beaming after scoring a dramatic equaliser in his first game as captain to earn England a 2-2 World Cup qualifying draw against Scotland on Saturday.

England looked to be crawling towards a just deserved albeit boring 1-0 win thanks to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's finish but two wonder strikes from Leigh Griffiths in the 87th and 90th minute put Scotland on the brink of their first win against the Three Lions since 1985.

Scotland returned strongly in the match with Celtic's Leigh Griffiths scoring two magnificent free-kicks in three minutes to give Scotland the lead with only stoppage time left to play.

At this point, the three points looked relatively safe for England; Scotland had barely threatened, and Southgate's side would have been confident they could see the game out.

Kane, who has now scored six times in his 18 appearances for England, relished his first experience of Hampden and left
satisfied with the point which keeps his country at the top of Group F
and firmly on course to secure the automatic qualification place for next year's World Cup finals in Russian Federation.

Sony continues to block cross-platform play for Rocket League, Minecraft
Certainly not for Microsoft, who also own Minecraft and have opened it up to everyone, and sell the game on Sony's platforms. A year later, the Nintendo Switch version of Rocket League will support cross-play, but Sony still isn't letting it happen .

But with only a minute left of injury time captain Harry Kane saved England's unbeaten qualifying record with a cool finish as the game eneded 2-2. I knew if I got it round the wall it was in.

"The challenge is how do we become the best team in the world?" They were delighted. It was something I have always dreamed about as most kids do.

"When we went away with the Marines, we spoke about being ready for any situation", said Kane.

Griffiths, 26, had never previously scored for Scotland and his goals drew rich praise from manager Gordon Strachan after a result that kept Scotland in fourth place in the pool.

England were the width of the post away from going in front on 51 minutes when Livermore's effort from the right of the area took a wicked deflection off a defender and bounced off the upright with Gordon beaten.

Hundreds have been left homeless by the blaze, putting more pressure on officials in a city plagued by a chronic housing shortage. One of them told reporters they spoken to the Prime Minister for two and a half hours about their demands and what they expected.

But in the 93rd minute, the captain, leader and (future) legend Harry Kane latched onto the end of Raheem Sterling's diagonal ball to volley home past Craig Gordon. I am one of many who could be captain.

"However the objective is to qualify and we still sit top of the group". I've shared the leadership around and that has been important for us as a team.

"[It was] a game we should win, a game we were in total control of", said Southgate.

"When we went 2-1 down the lads could have been on their knees or heads in hands but we stuck our chests out, walked back to the centre circle and tried to get something from it".

Kane wasn't heavily involved in the game overall, but, in his first match captaining the national team, the 23-year-old managed to have a decisive impact.
