Donald Trump takes swipe at Obama on student death

President Trump said Tuesday that college student Otto Warmbier - imprisoned by North Korea during the Obama administration - might be alive today if the United States had "brought him home sooner". When he arrived, he was in a coma, which North Korea said was due to him contracting botulism and taking a sleeping pill.

China's efforts to rein in North Korea have "not worked" out, US President Donald Trump has said but appreciated Beijing for its attempts to pursue its closest ally to abandon its nuclear ambitions.

He says the USA holds North Korea accountable for Warmbier's "unjust imprisonment" and demands the release of three other "illegally detained" Americans.

Trump took to Twitter on June 20 to talk more about Warmbier's death.

In March 2016, Kim Dong Chul, a 62-year-old Korean-American missionary, was sentenced to 10 years of hard labour for subversion. "We're still considering our options".

Scoring Specialist Hector Moreno Rescues Mexico In 2-2 Draw With Portugal
Portugal had a first-half goal by Nani disallowed after a video review, when the game was still scoreless. The two sides met most recently in a friendly in October 2016 and Mexico narrowly prevailed 2-1.

He said in an interview on "CBS This Morning" broadcast Tuesday that while it's not known for sure what happened, there can be speculation that North Korea made "unjust and cruel treatments" to Otto Warmbier. He returned home in a coma with severe and debilitating brain damage and died Monday.

Assistant Secretary of State Susan Thornton said USA officials are "going to give the DPRK/North Korea issue top priority in our discussions, aiming to advance concrete cooperation with China towards a peaceful resolution of the nuclear and missile threat from North Korea".

Warmbier's cause of death is unknown at this time.

A funeral for Otto will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m.at his former high school Wyoming High School, located at 106 Pendery Ave.

President Trump promised Monday night that North Korea would answer for its injustices against the Warmbier family.

Iran-made drone downed in Syria
Advances by the Syria-Russia-Iran axis offer the USA a way out of a bind over how to handle what follows the retaking of Raqqa. Iran has been a key ally of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, sending military advisers and thousands of "volunteer" troops.

White House officials said Otto Warmbier's death reinforces the fact that North Korea is an outlaw regime that is out of control.

"Unfortunately, the bad torturous mistreatment our son received at the hands of the North Koreans ensured that no other outcome was possible", they said. He traveled to China during a break in his studies, and then onto North Korea with a tourist group. Doctors in Cincinnati said they found no active sign of botulism or evidence of beatings.

"If you are in a persistent vegetative state and you are just immobile for a prolonged period of time, you have a propensity to form a clot", Laskowitz said.

North Korea said they released Warmbier last week on "humanitarian grounds".
