And, of course, the biggest blockbuster came earlier this week when the Celtics traded the first overall pick to the Sixers, who used it to get Markelle Fultz.

After all, this IS the Celtics, the bane of the Sixers existence for most of the 1960s, as well as some heartbreaking years in the 1980s. The Warriors selected Purdue center Joe Barry Carroll.

And into it all, sitting back and waiting to see what falls to them are the Raptors, armed with the 23rd pick and a collective look of bemusement at all the shenanigans. No way. Absolutely. No. Way.

That being said, it's something to be excited about at this time.

In other words, Sixers fans, be patient. If all goes well, we could officially be seeing the end of "The Process" as we know it. I can't really control who calls my name on Thursday.

But we're due. Really, we're due.
