After the meeting, Twitter users lambasted Rubio for a photograph showing what appears to be an awkward hug between him and Ivanka Trump.

Response to that proposal has been mixed.

Asked if he supports paid family leave, which Ivanka Trump has also been working on, Rubio said: "I think we need to do something about family leave, absolutely".
