Ivanka Trump has taken her fight for paid parental leave to the White House, meeting with Republican senators to try and agree on a single plan to make the proposal a reality.

Marco Rubio probably started out his day Tuesday thinking about paid family leave, child care tax credits and other deep issues.

Response to that proposal has been mixed.
