Awesome new WhatsApp features - The details

Several weeks ago, we reported that WhatsApp would soon allow users to share just about any file they want using its messenger service.

Users spotted the feature as part of a beta version; apparently the feature works well enough that WhatsApp is now rolling it out in stages to all users of the app.

Before this update, WhatsApp only supported a few file formats for music, documents, images, but following the update, users will be able to send across any file extension directly on WhatsApp.

He was changing a lock inside a room that connects to the bank's ATM around 2:00 in the afternoon on Wednesday. Corpus Christi police officer Richard Olden said police were called after one customer called them for help.

Prior to the update one had to use a third party software called SendAnyFile to send any type of file to a WhatsApp contact.

There is also good news and that is WhatsApp will now stop compressing your photos, meaning that you can send the original to the other person and not worry about the quality being downgraded due to compression.

All you need to do is go to "Documents" after tapping on the attachment icon on the bottom of the screen in the chat box.

Talking about the new file share feature, WhatsApp previously limited users to sending only pdf or word or image files.

Reportedly, the file sharing limit is 128MB on iOS, 64MB on Web, and 100MB on Android. As per the latest statistics, WhatsApp has clocked 1.2 billion users and is used to send more than 50 million messages every day. The highlight of the update has to be the enhanced file sharing feature.

Along with the support for all file sharing and media bundling feature, the update also makes the text formatting a lot easier.
