Top seeded Hingis and Murray, the brother of men's World No 1 Andy, saw off Finland's Kontinen and Britain's Watson.

The crowd's support was certainly evenly spread, but Murray was the star of the show and he earned the first break with a dart across the net, but a poor game from Hingis allowed Watson and Kontinen instantly to hit back. Both pairs were tied at 3-3 in each set when Murray and Hingis went on claim the decisive breaks.

Murray said: "It's a great achievement".

"Any time you win a Grand Slam, get your name up on the board again, it's there forever, no-one will take it away from you".

Moto E4 plus Smartphone features 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels and operating system of Android 7.1.1. To recall, earlier leaks also suggested that the Moto G5S Plus may come with dual camera setup at the back.

Hingis revealed she had a nervous wait to find out whether Murray would agree to the partnership.

The Swiss, who came out of retirement in 2013 after a lengthy absence from the game prompted by testing positive for cocaine at the 2007 championships, now boasts six Wimbledon titles and 23 grand slam wins across singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. I was like, Oh, my God, did he read it?

"I haven't asked Henri yet, but I hope he says yes", said the 25-year-old.

Murray added: "It was just a great opportunity for me to play and to really feel like you could do good things on the court and have a great shot to win".

Williams comes off of a 6-1 road loss versus the Chicago Cubs where he allowed three runs on six hits and two walks in 3.2 frames. Pham finished with three hits for his third straight multi-hit game. "More than usual, and I think it was getting on us".

"I have to thank Martina for asking me as I wasn't going to play mixed doubles", Murray said.

"I cry with Roger when he won the grand slam". I knew I could do well with her.

And it proved to be a good one as a almost full Centre Court crowd gathered to see them edge out Kontinen and Watson, who tested them more than any other pair had done in the previous rounds. Murray and Hingis have yet to discuss future plans but it seems likely they will defend their title next summer and they may even play together in the US Open later this summer.

"I mean, it is normally really fun to play in an atmosphere where the crowd's all for you". Watson fell just short in her bid to become the first British woman to defend this title since Dorothy Round Little in 1935-36, but she and her Finnish partner have enjoyed another excellent tournament.
