Karen Kuldys thought he might actually win a million $, Thursday, in the victory 33-25 of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers against the Toronto Argonauts, before the referee whistles a penalty controversial.

"I'll be telling the story for the rest of my living days". After Winnipeg took the opening kickoff to the house in a game against Toronto on Thursday, Karen Kuldys of Winnipeg needed just one more taken back to win the life-changing sum of money.

Kuldys was appreciative of Canada's support, thanking them for rallying behind her.

Another sponsor of the contest, Air Miles, tweeted it was giving Kuldys 500,000 miles - worth nearly $50,000. "Not to sound greedy but it's not a million dollars", said Kuldys.

"I just found that out from a lady here at CBC, that's worth $50,000".

The missed fortune made such waves that CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie issued a statement.

Kuldys said Ambrosie called her at work to tell her about her consolation prizes.
