The Internet Reacts to Ed Sheeran on 'Game of Thrones'

At long last, winter is here and "Game of Thrones" is back, and kicking off the seventh season with a 62-minute episode titled "Dragonstone" - which features a pre-opening credits scene, reminiscent of the Red Wedding.

The 26-year-old "Shape of You" singer made a cameo in the season 7 premiere Sunday night, performing a folksy campfire song before breaking bread with Maisie Williams' Arya Stark. His song attracts Arya's attention and they all end up chatting and sharing a meal. She asked the so-far unseen group what the "pretty song" was and the camera panned to Sheeran, who smiled and said: "A new one".

The Galway Girl singer celebrated his appearance, posting a shot of his performance on Instagram after tuning into the show. Sheeran's appearance got mixed reactions from fans.

Beijing was quick to pour cold water on the suggestion that the overall rise in trade suggested it was not complying with U.N. Security Council resolutions created to punish Pyongyang for its nuclear tests and missile launches.

Although we're not too sure if Ed is the reason HBO's site shut down during the premiere, it's safe to say that his cameo may have a had a hand in the madness.

Sheeran sang during his fleeting appearance in the death-filled episode, Dragonstone, in the first episode of the penultimate series of the TV drama.

After months of waiting, Game of Thrones has finally returned, the premiere steadily setting up the (shorter) season to come.

We try to be good neighbours and we try to be involved with our local community", said mosque spokesperson Shamusideen Oladimeji. Crews were called to the Manchetser Nasfat Islamic Centre at about 11.40pm on Sunday with 30 firefighters battling the flames.

Despite fan's protest, it's worth noting that Sheeran is far from the first musician to make a cameo on "Thrones". And Arya Stark woohoo. This means Westeros is going to need lots of the only weapon that can kill a white walker - dragonglass. Love GoT and BAM ED!
