Apple gets nod to test 5G networks for future iPhones

"The application makes particular reference to using the 28 and 39 GHz bands, which the FCC approved for commercial use for 5G services previous year". It's following in the footsteps of firms like Google and Facebook by focusing on millimeter wave (mmWave) broadband trials.

In May of this year, Apple submitted an application for a license to test a new service of wireless technology, namely the 5G wireless technology that is upcoming in the future. Further, this millimeter wave tests are slated to take place between two fixed locations such as Cupertino, where it's headquarter is situated and Milpitas, California.

Still, Scaramucci said he would report "directly" to the President, and that he and Priebus would work together. In fact, rumors abound that Anthony Scaramucci himself is being considered as a replacement for Priebus.

The tech uses the 28GHz and 39GHz bands that have been earmarked for future commercial 5G networks.

Apple applied for the experimental permit earlier this year, with the stated goal of "to assess cellular link performance in direct path and multipath environments between base station transmitters and receivers using this spectrum".

Few days ago, a few scenes of the movie were leaked online, recently at the press conference Akki spoke about it. When asked about the same, Akshay said, "I was unfurling the flag at that time and it was upside down.

The work should also mean that once 5G technology becomes widespread, new Apple mobile devices may be able to carry the networks from the point of being sold. Hence, we could definitely say that there might be better plans with the company, apart from enabling the iPhone for 5G technology. To be clear, there is now no official 5G standard in place yet. Sprint is looking to launch its 5G service in 2019, while T-Mobile is shooting for 2020. Because millimeter wave (mmWave) transmits at higher frequencies and a smaller wavelength of between 30 GHz and 300 GHz, it's capable of reducing latency and notably expanding data transmission capacity.

Apple has been granted permission to begin tests that are likely to result in an iPhone 5G.
