PV Sindhu appointed as deputy collector in Andhra Pradesh

Indian Professional badminton player was appointed as Group-I officer by AP CM Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday.

Naidu wished success to Sindhu in her future endeavours and backed her to win many global tournaments.

Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu has been handed the post of Deputy collector by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu. She received gifts from the TS government as well. The appointment letter was given at the state secretariat in the presence of Sindhu's parents. As per the appointment order, Sindhu was asked to report to CCLA special secretary within 30 days.

Expressing happiness over the development, Sindhu said her first priority would continue to be badminton.

Chandrababu Naidu had promised a Group-I post to Sindhu when she won the silver medal in Olympics.

The state legislature passed the bill in the month of May to amend the State Public Services Act to recruit P V Sindhu as a Group-I in the Government.
