A person familiar with negotiations between the Senate Judiciary Committee and former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort says the panel has dropped a subpoena that sought to compel his public testimony this week. Manafort had previously disclosed the meeting in documents he turned over to the committee.

Manafort met with Senate Intelligence Committee staff on Tuesday. Kushner spoke to the intelligence committee on Monday, where he denied any collusion or improper contact with Russian officials, according to prepared remarks.

Kushner spent about three hours behind closed doors Tuesday with the House intelligence panel.

Manafort is among the central figures in the ongoing special counsel and congressional probes into Russia's interference in the 2016 election.
