Today we get an early look, filmed in NY during summer rehearsals, at the cast and crew of "Frozen" interacting as they plan for their trip to Denver to work out the kinks.

The first performance of Frozen the Musical happens in two and a half weeks and the cast is now hard at work in rehearsals! It previews how the production expands upon and deepens the plot and themes of the hit 2013 movie. In fact, the production - with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, expanded from their film score; and a book by Jennifer Lee, who wrote and co-directed the movie - includes more than twice as much music as the film. Frequent Grandage collaborators Rob Ashford and Christopher Oram will choreograph and design the show, respectively.

Disney Theatrical Group President Thomas Schumacher said in a promotional video for "Frozen" released Monday that he knew it would wind up on Broadway even before its movie release.

Frozen will head to Broadway until 2018, but before then, it'll make a pit stop at the Buell Theatre in the Denver Center for the Performing Arts this fall from August 17-October 1.

The Disney movie, released in 2013, became the top-grossing animated feature ever, bringing in nearly $1.3 billion worldwide.
