An MS-13 member wanted in connection with a 2011 murder that landed him on the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted Fugitive " list has been arrested in Virginia, officials said.

Walter Yovany Gomez, an illegal immigrant from Honduras, was arrested without incident Friday in Woodbridge, 20 miles south of Washington, as a result of a well-coordinated investigation and tips from the public, the FBI said. Federal authorities will seek to extradite him to New Jersey, where he faces murder and racketeering charges.

"The apprehension of Walter Yovany Gomez is a prime example of the close coordination between the vigilant public and the hard working men and women of law enforcement", Gallagher said.
