Skip lunch line for $100? Florida school accused of 'cafeteria classism'

Students and parents in Lakeland, Florida, were gearing up for another school year when they received a letter from Lawton Chiles Middle Academy saying that for $100, students would be be able to skip the lunch line.

For $50 a family or business could get their name on the school website, and for $100 they could get their child a pass that would let them cut to the front of the line in the cafeteria.

'With middle school already being a very contentious age, with hormones and everything else, the last thing you really want to do is add a food hierarchy on top of that, ' Stephenson told WFLA.

Parents are upset over a letter sent out with students at a Florida school.

"'Hey my dad has more money than you, I get to eat first you have to wait you have to wait'", Christ Stephenson, a father of a pupil, speculated what the form would incite from young students.

Shaw still loved at Manchester United
Rose has been frequently linked with the Red Devils this summer, and he recently stated that he is ready to listen to offers. Shaw is currently out with a knee injury as his teammates open the Premier League season now at home versus West Ham.

We doubt the front-of-the-lunch-line-pass incentive was created maliciously, but the possible harm it could impose on the children attending LCMA completely negates the original intent.

This angered parent Chris Stephenson who shared the sponsorship form on his Facebook page.

"Or maybe work hard for the money and you will have more opportunities".

"Nobody's a second-class citizen here", said Andrews, who is entering his fourth year as principal at Lawton Chiles Middle Academy.

We don't. That's on me as the principal so ultimately, it is my responsibility what goes out to the kids.

Man Utd: Romelu Lukaku is 'too often a pussy cat'
However the ability of his United side to reach those heights will depend on the ability of Lukaku , according to Martin Keown. Anthony Martial has now been directly involved in more Premier League goals (27) since 2015/16 than any other Man Utd player.

Andrews told News Channel 8 he did not approve of this fundraiser and he was not aware that sponsor forms for such a fundraiser were inside orientation packets.

In a statement, PTSA president Jil Bevis blamed the incident on a "clerical error".

'They're always looking to for creative ways to raise funds. In a statement to NBC News affiliate WFLA, PTSA President Jil Bevis said the organization is constantly looking for "new and innovative" fundraising ideas and admitted the lunch line perk was floated around, but they chose to not move forward with it. I think it was brainstorming on their part.however it seems like this didn't pass my desk'.

"Due to a clerical error, the form was inadvertently included in the orientation packets".

Principal Brian Andrews sent an email to parents informing them to disregard the Family and Business Sponsorships form that was sent home with students.
