Team Chevy Driver Interviews Before 2017 Pure Michigan 400

Rochester Hills native Brad Keselowski won the pole position Friday afternoon at Michigan International Speedway for Sunday's running of the Pure Michigan 400. He'd go on to win four more Cup races in 2014 and three in 2015.

Kyle Larson's three career Cup victories all have been on 2-mile tracks. Here are some drivers we think can win.

Jimmie Johnson pounded the wall hard in final practice for the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway and will have to roll out a backup auto.

The Pure Michigan 400 is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. on NBC Sports. With Martin Truex Jr. and the #78 team stealing some of Larson and the #42 team's thunder in recent weeks, MI represents a prime opportunity to re-establish themselves as the top team on the circuit. Brad Keselowski has also been impressive on the two-mile tracks with a 6.3 average finish over the last eight races and has finished Top 10 in nine of his last races between the two tracks. Elliott's record at MI is outstanding as he has finished second in all three races he has run here (the last two to eventual victor Kyle Larson). Elliott is qualified for the playoffs by points at the moment but is by no means safe as there are a lot of good drivers still searching for their first victory this season. In this video, watch for exclusive interviews with Team Chevy NASCAR drivers including Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jamie McMurray, Austin Dillon and Paul Menard. MI has been very good to Kyle Larson, and he needs that right now after having lost the NASCAR Cup Series points lead to Martin Truex Jr.

Keselowski was happy with is qualifying efforts, especially since it is his hometown track.

"We came into the weekend thinking that some of those really strong cars would tune it down and knowing that we probably were pretty close to what we had the last few weeks", Keselowski said Friday. Here's a look at the top five storylines heading into the race.

I haven't been on the #88 in awhile as the speed and results just haven't been there.
