Wenger 'relieved' Giroud has made a decision to stay

Wenger reassured that his compatriot Giroud will not be leaving the club this transfer window despite losing his starting role to their record summer signing Alexandre Lacazette who opened his English Premier League goal account in the match against Leicester City.

Their joy was short-lived however, as Shinji Okazaki headed Leicester level only three minutes later.

Against a plucky Leicester side at a packed and tense Emirates Stadium, Arsene Wenger's men scored twice in the last 10 minutes - first through substitute Aaron Ramsey before the much-maligned Giroud headed in the victor off Granit Xhaka's corner.

"I went to a three-man midfield to get us a screen because Mesut Ozil was playing in the pockets and I wanted Wilfred Ndidi to get in and around him. That's not making any excuses because when subs go on, they are given jobs and I expect them to pass on information", he told Sky Sports.

The special status to the region was granted under Article 371J of the Constitution when Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister. West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee attended the meeting, besides leaders of Left parties.

The Frenchman came off the bench for the Gunners to head home in the 85th minute, turning a 3-2 deficit into a 4-3 lead in the closing stages. "He has a big weight in this squad and it was a relief for me that he made a decision to stay".

"Going forward and character wise we have been great".

Craig Shakespeare's side boasted numerous players, and characteristics, that saw them shock the world to win the title in 2015/16.

"I don't know whether it was a lack of concentration or just a lack of game management in the last ten minutes, but you then concede again from a set play in terms of being overpowered".

Sports Amid Barcelona Interest, Dortmund Suspends Dembele Indefinitely
As things stand, the 20-year-old is not under consideration for selection as coach Peter Bosz prepares for the Bundesliga opener away to Wolfsburg on Saturday.

Arsenal shipped three goals but were without arguably three of their first-choice defenders as Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi all sat out due to a combination of fitness and suspension.

Lacazette is the seventh Arsenal player to score on his first Premier League appearance.

"With the third goal, also after a corner, (Jamie) Vardy's header was nice, but we were there and we had enough time to find our place".

Their impressive attack was offset by some shaky defending, however, and when Marc Albrighton was given acres of space to find Vardy in the centre of the box, the two men marking the striker couldn't prevent a second goal.

Russia's foreign minister says the risk of a military conflict between the US and North Korea is "very high". A North Korean missile salvo around Guam would present challenges for the United States and its allies.

Asked about Arsenal's title chances, Wenger said: "There are six or seven teams who can win the league. We have top quality". "I didn't want to take a gamble with Ramsey and glad he didn't get injured".
