Romelu Lukaku scored twice on his Old Trafford debut as Manchester United delivered their biggest Premier League win in almost three years to rout West Ham United 4-0 on Sunday. "Then we scored a third and you breathe and relax".

As reported by the Guardian, on the prospect of re-signing Ibrahimovic once the 35-year-old striker has recovered, Mourinho said: "We are having conversations and discussing the possibility of him staying for the second part of the season".

"A word that I like is confidence, they played with confidence and played football".

Manchester United boss Mourinho told Sky Sports: "The game was hard, it was open at 2-0 and they had a chance to score". United won most of the loose balls and were energetic in possession. He knows sometimes strikers can play well but not score, but from me there will be no pressure.

Yet this was more than just a story of Lukaku's two-goal debut and, though the striker deserves the headlines, the form of Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba should also fill Mourinho with optimism that his team are capable of significant improvement from last season's sixth-placed finish.

Stanton ties Sheffield's home run mark as Marlins sweep Rockies
NOTES: Rockies rookie 1B Ryan McMahon, who made his first big-league start, got an eighth-inning single for his first hit. Stanton's four-game home run streak is the second such streak of his career and the second-longest streak this season.

They were able to salvage their season by winning the Europa League, but more will be expected this time in around.

Lukaku got the Red Devils off and running in the 33rd minute when he blasted home off the post, following a brilliantly weighted pass from Rashford.

The victory propelled United to the top of the table and their performance was far more attack-minded and expansive than those of recent years, providing an early hint of a challenge for top-flight honours this term.

"Nemanja is top player with a top stability and we need that".

"I'm not going to say that the performance was ideal because it wasn't flawless".

Manchester City at Brighton & Hove Albion
They have won their opening league match in each of the past six seasons, with Sergio Aguero scoring a total of five goals in those games.

"We have the confidence levels of a team who won a European competition". He was one of the best central defenders in the last decade of the Premier League, but he struggled.

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has opted for a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Joe Hart, on loan from Manchester City, getting the nod between the sticks.

"We're going to try to win the title".

It has raised questions about Chelsea's decision to let the Serbia global join their Premier League title rivals, but former Stamford Bridge boss Mourinho insisted that he did nothing to "disturb" his old player.

Paulinho to move from Barcelona to Guangzhou
Guangzhou Evergrande manager Luis Felipe Scolari has also confirmed the transfer, which is expected to be officially announced shortly.
