Barcelona to return for Coutinho

FC Barcelona are reportedly preparing a fourth and final bid for Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho.

Three bids for the Brazil worldwide have been knocked back by the Reds, with the Catalans' interest said to have curtailed, yet the saga is braced for another twist.

Ernesto Valverde's side are willing to pay £100m upfront, with £36m coming in add-ons over the next four years. Despite Coutinho's unhappiness, Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp believes the player can and will be welcomed back into the set-up when he's recovered from being "ill", which has so far prevented him from turning up at Melwood this week.

The Merseyside club has stood firm regarding the sale of their superstar so far, and have already rejected three bids from the Blaugrana in this transfer window.

Coutinho is clearly not happy at Liverpool, having handed in a transfer request earlier in August.

Stuart Pearce has told Liverpool to consider making a move to sign Diego Costa from Chelsea if Philippe Coutinho leaves Anfield this summer.

"Of course, everything is okay between me and him", Klopp reassured in a press conference this morning.
