Rousey skipping Mayweather-McGregor with more important plans: her wedding

UFC president Dana White revealed that Ronda Rousey is getting married this weekend.

It's safe to say that Rousey won't change all of her plans to accomodate the fight, but White seemed a bit dismayed that it had to be on the day of the biggest fight in UFC history. That, of course, overlaps with the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor boxing match, which White will be ringside for.

According to White, Rousey is now concentrating on her upcoming wedding this weekend, August 26, 2017. The nuptials will take place in Hawaii, where Browne was born. The two confirmed their engagement in April but did not reveal a specific wedding date. She was UFC's first female champion, when she won the bantamweight title in 2012 and then successfully defended the belt in six consecutive bouts.

Rousey has not officially retired from fighting, although many have speculated that her fighting career is done. She lost the 135-pound championship in November 2015, when she suffered a knockout loss to Holly Holm via head kick.
