Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky has another solid preseason performance; Browns are next

Mike Glennon entered Week 3's preseason game against the Tennessee Titans playing for his job.

Trubisky took over for Glennon in the second half, going 10-of-15 for 128 yards and a touchdown.

Glennon was 7-of-9 for 84 yards overall and the Bears moved to the Titans' 1-yard-line thanks to a pass interference penalty called on cornerback Adoree Jackson on a throw to Kevin White in the end zone.

However, the injury bug did not stay away from the Bears as it is suspected that receiver Cam Meredith may be out for the season with a knee injury along with some other players hurt. His day was highlighted by a handsome 45-yard touchdown strike to Tanner Gentry but also brought struggles with the first-team offense.

"But I think I've shown that I've earned these reps and I just need to continue to get better each day".

Rookie Deshone Kizer selected as Browns starting quarterback
Coach Hue Jackson's decision puts plenty of trust in a player whose career has been more potential than production. He played two series against the Giants without lighting up the scoreboard once.

Trubisky looked again to be everything the Bears could hope, but his development is still taking place. Glennon has been entirely unconvincing as a starting quarterback, leaving the door open for this year's No. 2 pick to make his mark.

Mike Glennon engineered a 96-yard scoring drive on the Bears' first possession, using former Titans wide receiver Kendall Wright as his favorite target on the march.

The wideout is coming off a strong 2016 where he posted 888 receiving yards and four touchdowns in 14 games for Chicago. He needs to step-up if the Bears want to be effective on offense. "But at no point are we going to force it to any one of them".

Tennessee running back DeMarco Murray hasn't played in either of the Titans' preseason games this month, and the Pro Bowler might not play on Sunday in the third one.

Trubisky, meanwhile, played two series with most of the first string at the start of the second half.

The crash happened on the southbound M1 at Newport Pagnell around 80km northwest of London just before 03:15 on Saturday morning. Anyone with any information should contact the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101 quoting URN 203 26/8.

He is a high-end backup wide receiver in the National Football League and he is a great presence in the locker room. Gentry got enough separation from Boykins for Trubisky to place the ball only where Gentry could grab it.

This could just be lighting a fire under Williams, but if this team likes someone else they may cut bait. Expect Dodd to play a lot against the Bears, with the Titans hoping he can start to make big-impact plays.

The secondary is where the Titans renovated their roster the most this offseason, letting veteran Jason McCourty go in April. In practices against the Panthers and in previous preseason games, Jackson performed well.

Sims played in 13 games last season and started the final two, and he also tied for second with two interceptions. There is one week until the 53-man roster is set and two weeks until the regular-season opener against the Falcons.
