Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone in India.

In an attempt to take on Apple's flourishing market in India, Cupertino-based tech giant Samsung on Tuesday launched its premium big-screen Note phablet, also known as Galaxy Note 8 in India at a price of Rs 67,900.

"Bixby will be available on Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices in India". Last week, Samsung announced record pre-orders that surpassed any previous Note smartphone.

Like many of its Galaxy Note predecessors, the Note 8's biggest USP is its big, but handsome, infinity display that has been crafted to catch your attention.

Samsung's Note 7 had a short run and the company was forced to recall the devices from the market after instances of the battery catching fire.

The most important features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 are that it is waterproof as well as wireless charging supporter.

The 8MP front camera also comes with optical image stabilisation.

Battery: It is backed by a 3300mAh battery unit which can be charged either via the USB Type-C port or wirelessly. In terms of security, the Note 8 comes with Iris Scanner, Facial Recognition and Fingerprint Sensor located at the backside.
