New York City Pizza Festival Under Investigation After Complaints

"It was like the people from Fyre Festival chose to throw a pizza party", attendee Connell Burke told Gothamist, in reference to the disastrous music event that went down in the Bahamas earlier this year.

Guests said they arrived at a "shady parking lot" with empty tents and a scant amount of food for hungry attendees. An attendee said on Facebook there were just three tents serving up slices of pizza "smaller than my palm".

Naturally, peeved ticket holders took to social media to vent their frustrations, which has surmounted to a tirade of abuse littering the event's Facebook page.

For those who stuck it out, eventually slivers of a handful of pizzas and "warm red wine that tasted like ass" were distributed.

"Please do not come for the rest of the night's tastings".

Priyanka Chopra on Meghan Markle's relationship with Prince Harry
First up, it has been revealed that Meghan and Diana share a similar taste when it comes to their choice in makeup artist. The Quantico star criticised the magazine for focusing on Meghan's love life instead of her professional accomplishments.

The apology didn't appease attendees.

"Make-up tasting? Shut the f-k up".

"COMPLETE SCAM! Believe this we will be getting our money back", wrote one.

Still, a separate Facebook group has been created threatening legal action against the festival.

According to Gothamist, the people behind the pizza event also held a "Hamburger Festival" on Saturday at the same exact time and place - but apparently forgot to bring the burgers.

Trump says North Korea sanctions just the beginning
The resolution also calls for a ban on North Korea's textile exports - its largest export after coal and other minerals in 2016. Defence Minister Itsunori Onodera yesterday urged tougher sanctions including curbing oil supplies to North Korea.

Hosted in what was essentially a parking lot (a space provided by Pizza Fest's apparent partner, Hangry Garden), the "festival" began an hour late, was obviously lacking in resources, and boasted around five pizza pies cut into micro slices. There were no hamburgers! "Clearly this is a scam and the organizers should be held accountable". According to NBC New York, Attorney General Eric Schneiderman's office opened an investigation into the event and is encouraging those to submit complaints on their website.

That event was postponed at the last minute by a week and moved to the same date at the Pizza Festival - which is not something any properly organized event can do, given that rentals, staff and food should all have been arranged for the original date. He pulled out the morning of the event when he hadn't been paid. But the tickets weren't cheap if you wanted to go for the whole event, costing a whopping $75 (£52). "We respect their right to make claims, sometimes as clickbaits, but we also believe in the hardworking pizzerias in Brooklyn and we did not feel it was right to simply blame them or supporting partners for issues that impacted the event negatively", Osekre said in the Facebook post.

So traumatic are those who did attend, that they've now set up a victim support group on Facebook, called Pizza Festival Scam Victims. I asked them where the vendors were and he said, 'We had trouble finding them so we're ordering pizza to the venue.' I was like are you kidding me? "They didn't pay us the fee that we were supposed to get, they weren't honoring their deal with us".

As described by Gothamist, the massive foodie fail was akin to the infamous Fyre Festival - an expensive scam with shitty eats.
