Apple placing bets on LG's display for an upcoming foldable smartphone

Going be a recent report by The Investor citing industry sources, Apple is likely prepping a foldable iPhone in collaboration with LG Display.

This report follows the rumours from July that suggested Apple's plan to apparently invest as much as $2.6 billion in support of LG's new OLED plant (a deal that hasn't been finalized as of yet). Already, LG manufactures most of the displays used by Apple.

Last month, Apple made history when it released iPhone X. This smartphone refreshed everyone's idea of what an iPhone should look like and it completely changed up the expectations for future Apple devices. LG Display has allegedly created a task force to develop a foldable OLED panel for the future iPhone.

Anyone exposed to poor air quality or wildfire smoke should move inside to an air-conditioned environment. If residents see or smell smoke in their area, they should avoid outdoor activity including exercise.

This could be the sole reason for which Apple has chose to work with LG Display- a display solutions arm of LG on a new product. The report also added that LG Innotek is working on developing a flexible printed circuit board or RFPCB for these foldable iPhones.

The report from the Investor also claims that these LG bendable displays will be under production by 2019.

The next iPhone will have a foldable screen.

At the last hearing, on September 27, the ECP had adjourned the case until the Islamabad High Court (IHC) decides on the party's petition regarding the proceedings.

Beyond the rumored production date, no other hints about Apple's foldable smartphone have surfaced. At the moment, Samsung now supplies the OLED panels for Apple's new iPhone X. But Samsung could unveil the first-ever foldable smartphone even before that year since it's rumored foldable "Galaxy X" phone has been popping up in rumor mills recently. At the moment there was mention of company being faced with some difficulty in making the final product with foldable display, if the problem does not get solve soon then the handset arrival day may pushed back.

Engadget notes that once that once Face ID hits iPads and iPhones, it will give developers an idea that facial recognition can be used across multiple Apple devices instead of just one. The same can be said for Samsung's own foldable phone as well.

Analyst's Viewpoint About AT&T Inc. (T), Repros Therapeutics Inc. (RPRX)
Considering that the stock daily volume of 16.41 million shares, this represents a pretty noteworthy trading in volume size. Analysts, on average, seem bullish as they suggest RPRX is worth $4.81 more, giving a target price of $5.5 a share.
