A huge hole has opened up in Antarctic ice pack, reason unknown
Actually, this type of phenomena can be termed as polynya- an area of open water completely enclosed by sea ice. A more thorough and prolonged research would reveal the real reason behind the huge hole.

If you're unsure why a self-activating Home Mini meant Russakovskii's bathroom activity was recorded: everything you say to Google Assistant across the company's devices is recorded and stored in Google's servers, unless you explicitly disable it in My Activity controls. (I wouldn't be surprised if it's both; the potential for the Mini to turn into a constant surveillance device would be a huge liability.) Either way, it's not the biggest loss, but it's not great to see such a major issue come up right as a product is about to ship. For now, it is not clear if all of the 4,000 test mini speakers that Google gave away have the same bug. The basis for the elimination of top touch is chronicled in a post published Tuesday by Android Police reviewer Artem Russakovskii. Furthermore, the device failed to notify users when it was randomly listening in on them. As before, the best way to control and activate Google Home Mini is through voice, by saying "Ok Google" or "Hey Google", which is already how most people engage with our Google Home products. The Home Mini is designed as a miniature version of the Google Home that is tiny enough to sit anywhere in your house and can play music or make calls and other smart functions with the help of Google Assistant. About 4,000 Home Mini speakers are believed to have been distributed this way. The gadgets will still respond to voice and volume can be adjusted by tapping the side of the device. The problem appeared to be caused by the failure of the touch sensor on the top.

I believe we can deliver that. "But whatever happens we can deal with the Friday night, and we can deal with the Saturday night". We know we can compete with anyone. "Whoever we get, it's a tough game, very tough", Hudson said .

With the top button gone, the Home Mini now has to be activated entirely by voice, which isn't really a huge limitation since it's created to be a voice assistant. The device isn't due for launch until 19 October, so the company has a few days to find a permanent solution, or potentially push back its launch date.
