The Garud commandos were seriously injured in the firing with the terrorists. Two Kashmiris were also died in a gunfight with Indian security forces in Bandipora district.

According to initial reports, 2-3 terrorists were believed to be trapped in Bandipora's Hajin area.

As per the reports, the Khalid was killed in the joint operation by the Jammu and Kashmir Police's Special Operation Group, CRPF and Army.
