Nokia 9 leaked renders reveal thin bezels, dual cameras

The 3D CAD renders are the work of CompareRaja and OnLeaks who is well known in the smartphone industry. Now, renders of yet another Nokia smartphone have surfaced online. While press renders of Nokia 2 were leaked last month, but there weren't any credible Nokia 9 images leaked till now. The placement of the dual cameras on the Nokia 9 are a bit peculiar. What the leakers are sure of however is that the Nokia 9 will have curved edges, which are pretty similar to the design of Samsung's Galaxy S8 smartphones. The smartphone is also said to house a fingerprint scanner and will also feature an Iris Scanner as well. The render comes by way of OnLeaks, and given the leaker's track record, it's fair to assume this is what the Nokia 9 will end up looking like.

The Nokia 8 has a 5.3-inch screen, which doesn't quite compete, on paper at least, with the all-screen front panels of the Galaxy S8, iPhone X, Pixel X and LG G6. The US support pages for Nokia handsets also mention the Nokia 8, so there's potential that HMD was poised to push the Nokia 8 out into the states, but then the banding issue got in the way.

The fingerprint reader is predictably moved to the back, positioned below the main camera setup, with a USB Type-C port and nothing else on the bottom of the shiny, curvy device.

It's (almost) time for a full-on flagship, "courageously" adopting a thin bezel look, bulging dual rear-facing camera arrangement, and no headphone jack. The Nokia 9 is also expected to come with all the other usual Nokia features, like OZO audio and microphones for active noise cancellation.
