Auto left family's home after missing 3-year-old put outside

The Richardson police and Federal Bureau of Investigation sleuths are on an extensive search in Texas for a 3-year-old Indian girl who went missing on October 7 after her foster father allegedly asked her to stand outside the house late in the night as a punishment for not drinking milk. He then went out to search for her on his own but went back home when he couldn't find her, said Richardson Police Sgt. Kevin Perlich.

Police issued an Amber Alert Saturday afternoon but canceled it Monday after no significant leads turned up in the case. Her father apparently made her stand beneath a tree about 100 feet from their home at 3:00 a.m. that morning because she would not drink her milk. He noticed she was gone 15 minutes later but did not call police until five hours later.

Her father, Wesley Mathews, was arrested Saturday on a charge of abandoning or endangering a child and was released from custody late Sunday after posting $250,000 bail but is required to wear an electronic monitoring device and surrender his passport as part of the conditions of his bond. "He elected to call the police shortly after 8 o'clock".

"Right now, we're going through all that", Perlich explained.

'Garbage': Michael Jordan hits out at worrying National Basketball Association trend
As for Jordan's comments about 28 teams being garbage this season, it's unclear which two teams he believes will be great. But Golden State still has to win four more championships to equal what Jordan's teams did in the 1990s.

The parents of a missing 3-year-old Richardson girl are no longer cooperating with police.

The girl's mother does not face any charges. Perlich said they want that question answered because it did not seem like a normal reaction a parent would have if it involves a missing child.

The 37-year-old father was arrested Saturday morning for child abandonment. She is 22 pounds and 3 feet tall.

The Mathews family adopted the girl two years ago at an orphanage in India and she was malnourished when the couple took her in.

A Texas community is pitching in to continue the search for a missing toddler who was reportedly left outside in the middle of the night as punishment for not drinking her milk.

The police are now on the look out for any possible video footage that might have captured the movement of the vehicle.

Williams is said to have developmental issues such as limited verbal communication skills.

Meanwhile, members of Emmanuel Bible Chapel in Irving, where Sherin and her parents attended frequently, printed fliers with the girl's description and posted them in and around the Richland Meadows neighborhood over the weekend.
