Although there had been plenty of optimism coming up to the release of Star Wars Battlefront 2, it's fair to say that there's a little bit more caution from fans now, after the game's beta brought up concerns that its loot box system could be considered pay-to-win. Like everything else, we will be continually making necessary changes to ensure the game is fun for everyone. For the most powerful items, they are working to make those only obtainable via in-game achievements. The game makes up for what was missing from the first game, most notably with a single-player campaign and improvements to maps.

It remains to be seen how these changes will affect Star Wars Battlefront 2's gameplay, but after really enjoying my time with the beta I'm glad to hear that EA is adjusting its stance on loot boxes. You can earn crates through "completing challenges and other gameplay milestones, or by purchasing them with in-game credits or Crystals, our premium currency".
