Design-wise, the new Moto Mod looks a bit similar to the Soundboost 2 speaker Mod, as pointed out by The Verge. It also has that blue illumination ring that we saw on Amazon Echo or Echo Dot. This Moto Mod also comes with 15-hours worth of battery power so that the phone's own cell doesn't need to be used to power the accessory. The Moto Mod smart speaker will be available for purchase via both Amazon and Motorola websites in the USA, the United Kingdom, and Germany starting from November.

The speaker is created to work in a "dock" mode when you're charging the phone on your nightstand overnight, tilting the phone slightly so you can see the display. The new Moto Mod also matches the price tag of the brand new Amazon Echo Plus.
