A feature similar to that of Snapchat Stories, Facebook revealed that those on various groups and events pages will be able to contribute to a Facebook Story that's visible to the rest of the members and moderated by the admins.

While Facebook is streamlining many facets of Stories, there is one thing it is adding: collaborative Stories for events.

The result simplifies Facebook's multi-pronged effort to take on Snapchat's Stories format, which displays photos and videos shared in chronological order that disappear after 24 hours. The fact is that most people who share things on Messenger Day don't bother to share it separately on Facebook Stories, and automatically syncing the Stories across both the services makes a lot of sense. The new feature allows members to contribute Stories that can only be viewed by the members of the group or event, a flawless feature for private functions such as parties, and weddings. "All you have to do is select from one of these audience settings on either Facebook or Messenger, and any changes you make from your existing audience settings will update across the other".
