Fernando Torres Reportedly Eyeing Premier League Return

Look at Fernando Torres' goalscoring record since he left Liverpool for Chelsea in 2011, and the pattern which emerges is one of a striker in steady decline.

While Torres may have suffered from tepid chemistry with Hodgson - not to mention the rudimentary football during his tenure - he had no such problem with the Englishman's predecessor at Liverpool.

Rafa Benitez brought the Spanish striker to Anfield in 2007 - paying Atletico Madrid £26.5 million for his services - and he would go on to enjoy four fruitful seasons on Merseyside.

Surfer in Australia survives shark attack with an attack of his own
A BRIT doctor has told how he punched a "great white shark" that tried to rip his arm off during a surfing holiday in Australia. He sustained scratches and puncture wounds, and was driven to hospital by his two friends who were both doctors as well.

And his camp have also touched base with ex-boss Benitez and Southampton manager Mauricio Pellegrino.

PCP is backed by £28billion in funds from the Middle East and China and is looking to move into the riches of the top flight in England. The World Cup victor is now little more than a squad rotation player at his boyhood club of Atletico Madrid and reports suggest that he desires a return to England. There's no reversing the ageing process, and Torres seems to have suffered from the inexorable march of time more than most.

The thirty-three year old has eighteen months remaining on his current deal at Atletico Madrid and is keen to end his career with his hometown club. That doesn't mean he couldn't be a useful addition for Newcastle, especially given their struggles up front.

As of right now though, an actor has yet to be chosen for the role of Agent 47. Hulu is developing a Hitman TV series with John Wick creator Derek Kolstad .

Even without major backing, Benitez has done well with the players available to him.

Torres has failed to hit the net in 10 appearances, mostly from the bench, this season but his lack of form doesn't appear to have put off Benitez.

And he won the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup after making a £50million move to Chelsea.
