"I've had discussions with the committee chairman, but received no "notices", Jones said during his weekly appearance on CBS Sports Radio's 105.3 The Fan in Dallas.

Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported Sunday that owners have discussed the option of forcing Jones to sell the team due to his reported stance against Commissioner Roger Goodell's contract extension.

Goodell's push for an extension has been met with opposition from team owners including the Dallas Cowboys' Jerry Jones who say the timing of the extension could be a public relations disaster.

"If somebody is asserting that or thinking about that kind of thing, they're not knowledgeable on how things work in the National Football League".

Robbers dig tunnel to break into Mumbai bank
A horizontal tunnel of around 30 feet with a height of around four-and-a-half feet was dug to a spot under the bank locker room. The robbery is believed to have taken place at a branch of Bank of Baroda in the Juninagar area near Navi Mumbai early Sunday.

Jones denied that he has a replacement in mind for Goodell and added that he has never thought about replacing Goodell.

A league source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that multiple owners already have been discussing the possibility, which flows from Article VIII of the NFL's Constitution & Bylaws.

In a statement on behalf of the committee, Arthur Blank said the group "is continuing its work towards finalizing a contract extension" with Goodell.

Jones claimed Tuesday he just wants the compensation committee to bring any negotiations with Goodell to the rest of the owners for approval. Goodell's contract is set to expire after the 2018 season.

At least 3 dead after shooting at California elementary school
Two children have been hospitalised with gunshot wounds and three people were killed in the shooting. Students at Rancho Tehama Elementary are being evacuated to the Rancho Tehama Recreation Hall.

The letter mentions a range of possible sanctions, including fines, stripping of draft picks, and suspending Jones.

The New York Times reported on Monday that the league's compensation committee sent Jones a cease-and-desist warning.

The criticisms around Goodell focus on his bungling of the league's domestic violence policy and the Bountygate and Deflategate controversies. He'll miss three more games before his next schedule court date on December 1.
