Fire accidents were reported at iconic Ravindra Bharathi and Annapurna Studios on Monday. "A film set caught fire at around 6.15 P.M, following which four fire tenders were pressed into service".

The famous "Manam" set has been burnt to ashes due to a fire mishap at the Annapurna Studios. The studio belongs to Telugu star Akkineni Nagarjuna.

He was initially not assigned a return date, with the club stating he would be sidelined for a "significant period of time" but it now seems likely he will remain out until the New Year.

He said the blaze was brought under control within a couple of hours and said eyewitnesses reported noticing smoke emerging from a corner before flames engulfed the entire set. The lovely house set that was erected for Manam movie has been used for various other movies.

For those who don't know, Annapurna Studios was founded by Akkineni Nageswara Rao, twenty two years ago. The cause of the fire is still unknown but certain reports state, it was a short circuit problem. Another report states that Chiranjeevi's upcoming film -Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy's sets incurred serious damage as well.

He's now been questioned, as officials suspect a Taliban mole could have helped plan the ambush. The Taliban issued statements on their social media accounts claiming the attacks.

It mainly produces and distributes Telugu films and also provides various production facilities, including sound stages for set construction, outdoor sets, editing, dubbing and digital intermediate suites.
