Morbius was created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Gil Kane and first appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #101, the first issue not written by Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee.

Wolfenstein 2's remaining season pass story episodes now have release dates
We've known what the season pass entailed for a while now, but not we know precisely how everything's lined up. You'll probably want to finish the main story before you start them, though, just to be safe.

Morbius the Living Vampire, also known as Dr. Michael Morbius, is a doctor who was afflicted by a rare blood disease that was only made worse by his disastrous attempts to cure himself.

After Sony and Marvel made history by deciding to share Spider-Man with the MCU, Sony has chose to move forward with Spider-Man spinoffs that are set outside of the cinematic universe. While the actual character of Peter Parker is now being lent to Marvel Studios, hence why Spider-Man: Homecoming took place in the MCU, Sony still has the rights to all the other Spider-Man characters. Because of the deal, the studio struck with Marvel Studios for the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequels starring Tom Holland, Sony is left with a sandbox of Marvel characters all related to Spider-Man, but without Spidey available to tie together their planned cinematic universe. Eventually, he's turned into an anti-hero of his own right, similar to Venom. As of yet, there's no director or star on board the Morbius movie, but we know it won't be connected to Tom Holland's iteration of Spider-Man. However, the character's comic-traditional tragic anti-hero elements seem rife for adaptation.

Sony Pictures is still trying to make this whole Spider-Man cinematic universe thing work, despite the fact that Spider-Man himself may not actually be in it at all. It's certainly an experimental approach that differs drastically from Marvel Studios' carefully-curated, slow-burn approach to franchise building.
