Amazon Studios to Create Lord of the Rings TV Series

Amazon has confirmed that its media branch, Amazon TV, has secured the rights to produce a new series based on the Lord of the Rings fantasy novels.

Tolkien did write many stories of Middle Earth that take place in eras prior to the adventures of Frodo, Sam, and the fellowship.

No launch date or cast members for the new series was announced by Amazon.

Federer and Zverev came into their clash having won two games apiece against each other. "I think I've showed that more this year".

Speaking about the project, Head of Scripted Series at Amazon Studios, Sharon Tal Yguado, said: "The Lord of the Rings is a cultural phenomenon that has captured the imagination of generations of fans through literature and the big screen".

With its fantastical setting and characters, The Lord Of The Rings bears a superficial resemblance to HBO's Game Of Thrones, now one of the biggest shows in the world.

The Amazon series will delve into some of Tolkien's work that the movies did not explore.

Jerry Jones 'laughs' in the face of National Football League attacks
Jones denied that he has a replacement in mind for Goodell and added that he has never thought about replacing Goodell. The New York Times reported on Monday that the league's compensation committee sent Jones a cease-and-desist warning.

"We are delighted that Amazon, with its longstanding commitment to literature, is the home of the first-ever multi-season television series for The Lord of the Rings. Sharon and the team at Amazon Studios have exceptional ideas to bring to the screen previously unexplored stories based on J.R.R. Tolkien's original writings".

Middle Earth is coming to TV.

But it will cost Amazon dearly: Deadline reported that just the rights to the globally popular franchise cost US$200 million (S$272.2 million).
