Paine earns surprise recall for first two Ashes Tests

Paine is a shock selection and has been named for his first Test in seven years, having last played for Australian in October 2010.

Tim Paine, Cameron Bancroft and Shaun Marsh will replace Matthew Wade, Matt Renshaw and Glenn Maxwell in Australia's Ashes Test team to face England at the Gabba after the national selectors confirmed their squad on Friday morning.

Paine was left out of Tasmania's Sheffield Shield side earlier this season, with Wade behind the stumps for the state.

In that match, Wade was preferred to Paine as the keeping option.

National Selector Trevor Hohns stated, "Tim was identified as an global player a long time ago and has always been renowned as a very good gloveman, also performing well for us whenever he has represented Australia in any format".

Sixers' Joel Embiid historically destroys the Lakers
Brandon's out ahead of the pack! Also, the Lakers only turned the ball over nine times to Philadelphia's 16 turnovers. Rookie guard Ben Simmons flirted with a triple-double after finishing with 18 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds.

Pundits were quick to query the decision.

But he made a half century against England against the pink ball and then followed it up with 71 for Tasmania.

"It's been a hard road to get back here and I'm extremely proud of the way I've gone about things in the last five-six years", Paine said.

Bancroft, a 24-year-old right-hander, is in line for his Test debut at the expense of opening batsman Matthew Renshaw following a prolific series of scores for Western Australia in this season's domestic Sheffield Shield competition.

"Cameron has been a player of interest to us for some time now, having been unlucky to miss out on the Test tour to Bangladesh that was cancelled in 2015", Hohns said.

In what appears certain to be England's last full dig before next week's first Test, the visitors went to lunch on day three at 7-439 in Townsville with a first-innings lead of 189.

Marsh most recently played for Australia in India this year, where he averaged under 19.

What was particularly pleasing for Smith was the fact that the runs came against what was essentially Australia's first-choice Test bowling attack of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins and spinner Nathan Lyon.

England seamer Jake Ball is likely to miss the tourists' final warmup ahead of the first Ashes test, beginning on November 23 in Brisbane, after suffering an ankle ligament strain in the tour match at Adelaide Oval.

"Chadd's inclusion in the squad is with a view to the second Adelaide Test and the conditions that we may see there", Hohns said.

Multiple Man X-Men Movie Starring James Franco in Development
No release date has been set for this film, but we assume it's still a ways away as its now in the early stages of development. Franco has a penchant for selecting oddball characters to play on the big screen, and this certainly fits the bill.
