Chip Kelly to decide between UCLA and Florida

Former NFL and University of OR football coach Chip Kelly will decide between coach openings at Florida and UCLA in the coming days, ESPN reports.

Florida fired coach Jim McElwain on October 29, the day after the Gators were blown out 42-7 by Georgia.

According to ESPN's Mark Schlabach, the anticipation is that Kelly will reach a decision in the coming days.

Rams vs. Vikings: Highlights, game tracker and more
Los Angeles has been the surprise of the conference this season, though they were quick to get on the board against the Vikings. Linebacker Mark Barron leads the Rams in tackles and has a team-best three interceptions, including one against the Texans.

Florida evidently has zeroed in on Chip Kelly as its next coach - hey, a university president doesn't get on a plane to simply vet a candidate - and GN contributor Buddy Martin says a possible hold-up in the negotiations between the school and Kelly could be his contract with the San Francisco 49ers.

The 53-year-old met Tuesday in Los Angeles with UCLA, who is wooing Kelly with former UCLA quarterback Troy Aikman putting a "full-court press" on Kelly, according to ESPN.

The race is on for Chip Kelly, as breakneck as his storied hurry-up offensive scheme. McElwain, who was the Mountain West Coach of the Year in 2014 with Colorado State prior to landing a bigger job, took the Gators to back-to-back SEC title games.

Chief minister Siddaramaiah also took to social media to support Bengaluru Born actor. However, the filmmakers have repeatedly denied the movie includes such a scene.

Kelly was the talk of college football at OR, where, from 2009-12, he went 46-7 and took the Ducks to a BCS championship.

Kelly has taken this season off from coaching and now works at ESPN.

Kelly was unbelievably successful in four seasons at OR, accumulating a 46-7 record while leading the Ducks to four Pac-10/12 titles, a BCS National Championship Game appearance, a Rose Bowl championship and a Fiesta Bowl Championship.
