Apple Reveals Top Apps, Music, Movies, TV Shows Of 2017

Apple has revealed its 2017 best-of list of apps, games, music, books, and movies sold across the company's various online storefronts.

Talking about the top apps, Apple has named Calm, a meditation and sleep app, as the app of the year for the iPhone. The passing year saw a rise in real-time competitive gaming, apps focused on mental health and mindfulness, and apps transforming storytelling and reading. The game is available for free. It also includes features such as keyframe animations, chroma key compositing, and unlimited undo/redo.

Nikkei says Apple is reluctant to switch entirely to OLED in 2018 due to the fear of becoming over-reliant on Samsung . The Japanese securities firm also claims that there will be an OLED iPhone that will feature a 5.8-inch display.

The top free iPhone apps of the year included lots of usual suspects: Bitmoji, Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps, Netflix, Spotify, and Uber.
