Ben Stokes, Alex Hales named in England's ODI squad for Australia series

Ben Stokes has been included in England's one day global squad for the series that follows the Ashes tests in Australia, but the cricket allrounder is still sweating on a decision from prosecutors.

That means Stokes is included, even though the all-rounder is now the subject of an European Central Bank suspension as he waits to hear whether he will be charged for his involvement in a disorder that took place in Bristol in September.

Stokes, who has been suspended from worldwide cricket following his brawl at a Bristol bar, was dismissed for a 41-ball 34 and remained wicketless in his spell of 7-0-39-0. "We've got to adjust to that at some stage".

The banished England allrounder joined the New Zealand side on a short-term deal last week and debuted on Sunday.

"The two guys who have taken over, I just think that's the best way to go".

Hales was also present on that night out after England's ODI win the previous day, but will not face any charges, with both men named in the 16-man squad to face Australia at the conclusion of the Test series in Australia.

Bairstow, Joe Root, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes and Jake Ball are the only members of England's test squad who will stay on for the ODI series. In his first limited-overs match for his birth province against Otago, he was bowled for two.

The England all-rounder made a brisk 34 against Auckland today.

All-rounder Ben Stoke controversies was the only reason which kept him out of the ashes series. British detectives late last month passed a file to the Crown Prosecution Service for a decision, but there has been no word since. "Still waiting for the police report", said Bayliss when asked if he expected Stokes to play in the Ashes.

"The ECB Board has convened via conference call to make the decision after being informed that Hales is deemed a witness and will face no charges".

The news has come as a big relief for the English cricket fans.

Meanwhile, Kent batsman Sam Billings and Durham seamer Mark Wood are also added to the squad that defeated West Indies (4-0) in England at the end of the summer.
