Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris Character Level And Power Level Guide

Looks like some Destiny 2 players have been on the not-so-fun receiving end of an overpowered trace rifle.

Curse of Osiris raises the power level cap from 305 to 330, and naturally that means the game's stiffest challenges are being buffed to challenge powered-up players.

Curse of Osiris is out in the wild on all platforms, giving players new story missions, strikes, and competitive multiplayer maps, but it's what the expansion has taken away that could disappoint players.

A new Exotic weapon in Destiny 2's Curse of Osiris expansion is extremely powerful thanks to a bug. The recommended power level for the game's toughest - and most rewarding - activities has also risen accordingly. Likewise, the endgame level and Power Level requirements have also been raised for activities like the raid and Nightfall Strike. But the Prestige variants of both activities require players to be at the power cap, and it's now impossible to reach that cap unless you buy Curse of Osiris. Destiny 2 has a Gold trophy called "The Prestige" which requires players to "Complete the Leviathan Raid or a Nightfall Strike on Prestige difficulty".

Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris also adds "Heroic" strikes, which are more hard versions of the regular strikes, and these are also locked to standard Destiny 2 players. That means that the Destiny 2 Platinum trophy is now unobtainable without the expansion.

This isn't the first time Bungie has done this with Destiny. Curse of Osiris didn't introduce any new trophies/achievements to the game.
