A Disastrous Justice League Sends Warner Bros

John Berg will exit his role as one of the two leaders of Warner Bros.'s DC Films division following the poor box office performance and critical reception of Justice League, according to Variety.

The report suggests that Warner Bros. are reportedly planning to either announce a replacement for Johns and Berg in January, or perhaps more concerning is the idea that they'll absorb control of DC Films into the studio's larger filmmaking operation.

Stipe Miocic vs. Francis Ngannou set for UFC 220
Alistair Overeem was on the wrong end of a brutal knockout in his co-main event fight against Francis Ngannou at UFC 218 . Ngannou is 11-1-0 in his professional MMA career and 6-0 since entering the UFC in 2015.

Berg oversaw the studio's DC feature, along with DC chief creative officer Geoff Johns, who also runs point on the studio's DC television offerings. Berg will instead become a production partner with Roy Lee, the producer of "The Lego Movie" and "It", who has a deal on the lot.

It sounds like Warner Bros. may need a whole separate disc containing Deleted Scenes when it comes to the Bonus Material that could be included in the Blu-ray release of the "Justice League" movie. Warner Bros. Picture Group President Toby Emmerich is expected to name a new person to oversee the studio's comic book projects in the near future.

Congress passes stopgap spending bill to avert government shutdown
Democrats hope to use their leverage in the year-end budget battle to win concessions on spending, immigration and other issues. This time, the White House smoothed the waters by following up with a more peaceable, written statement.

"This is something that Jon approached me about six months ago, and he expressed his goal was to ultimately be a producer at the studio", Emmerich said in a statement. Going forward, his contributions to the films may evolve, and could be more advisory in nature. For comparison, Marvel conducts its movie division autonomously despite being owned by Disney, while Fox and Sony create their superhero flicks beneath the studio's overall banner. Warner Bros. reportedly believes that there is only one redeeming quality of Justice League: the introduction of the Flash (Ezra Miller) and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) to the silver screen.

While Ben Affleck is expected to appear as Batman in a standalone Flash movie, it is highly unlikely he will don the cape and cowl in Matt Reeves' planned standalone Batman movie. So clearly, with the right people behind and in front of the camera, it's possible that Warner Bros. could give adult audiences something a little more visceral to chew on.

Mizuho Raises Broadcom (AVGO) Price Target to $310.00
Zacks Investment Research downgraded Broadcom from a "hold" rating to a "sell" rating in a report on Wednesday, October 25th. Analyst Recommendations are opinions given by analysts to their clients about whether a given stock is worth buying or not.

Ironically, though, "Justice League" made the record of being the highest-grossing DC movie ever in China.
