Quentin Tarantino's 'Star Trek' to be R-rated

There's no word yet on whether Tarantino's version of Trek would feature Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto - they're contracted for a Star Trek Beyond sequel- or a totally different crew.

You know that Star Trek movie that Quentin Tarantino may want to direct?

The first and most important piece of information: The planned film will be rated R, which we can only imagine is a significantly easier sell to the studio after the heavy success of films like Deadpool and Logan, which took their nerdy and childish pedigree and crafted successful adult-appealing takes on the material.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will leave Early Access Dec. 20
When we made a decision to create a new map, we focused on creating an environment that is very different from Erangel. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is now in early access on PC, but it will have its full release on December 20th.

Not surprisingly, the idea for the bold new film comes from Quentin Tarantino, who basically doesn't get out of bed for anything less than an R rating. A writers room was assembled incredibly quickly, and Tarantino spent hours with scribes Mark L. Smith (The Revenant), Lindsey Beer (Chaos Walking), and Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3) to kick around ideas on how to tackle Tarantino's approach.

Once the writer is locked, the plan is to write the screenplay based on Tarantino's idea while Tarantino is off filming his next film, centered on the Manson summer of 1969 and starring Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate.

In truth, Trek seems to have been suffering from an identity crisis for around a decade now. So far, no timeline for the film's release has been revealed.

World War Z trailer unveiled for PS4, Xbox One, and PC
As you can see in the trailer, unlike Resident Evil or DayZ , the zombie hordes aren't the shambling, Romero-style of the undead. World War Z was originally released in 2006 as a book by Max Brooks called World War Z : An Oral History of the Zombie War.

EvenStar Trek: Discovery, hailed as the franchise's triumphant return to television and a progressive look at an inclusive future, portrays humanity as battle-hungry, suspicious, and dismissive of the value of sentient life.

Too often, though, modern Trek relies on the laziest possible narrative devices in order to push the story forward, glorifying violence and allowing legacy characters to act contrary to their earlier nature for the sake of pushing them towards infighting and bickering.
