Fox Developing 'Kitty Pryde' Movie With Tim Miller

Collider reports that while there are no concrete details about the proposed film other than its existence, Fox is still very actively pursuing the project even as the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Deadpool and company get ready to join their Marvel siblings in the House of Mouse.

"Deadpool" director Tim Miller is working on "X-Men" spin-off movie "Kitty Pryde".

Korea to join Winter Olympics, hold military talks with S. Korea
The two sides held talks at Panmunjom , a village in the Joint Security Area along their heavily fortified border. Seoul and Washington suspended annual joint military exercises until after the Olympics as a sign of good faith.

It is hard to imagine any comic movie getting off the ground from Fox in the near future given the nature of their deal with Disney, but here we are. In addition to Pryde herself, Colossus, who also featured prominently in Deadpool, is set to star in the film as Kitty's love interest.

Fox now has New Mutants, The Untitled Deadpool Sequel, and X-Men: The Phoenix Force set for release in 2018. Currently, Miller is also developing a Sonic The Hedgehog movie at Paramount where he is also directing yet another Terminator reboot for the studio, which is due out in 2019.

Kitty's mutant powers include the abilities to "phase" through solid objects (walk through walls and people's bodies alike) and has already appeared in two X-Men movies, X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) and X-Men: Days Of Future Past (2014), as played by Ellen Page. One of my favorite versions of Kitty Pryde appeared in an X-Men animated series pilot that never went to series. First introduced in Uncanny X-Men #129 (1980), and created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne, Kitty Pryde was initially the little sister sidekick of the older, more popular X-Men. It is available on YouTube on through many different streams and it is worth a watch to get an idea of why the character is so beloved.
