Bungie to relax microtransactions for Destiny 2

Bungie needs to win back a lot of the Destiny 2 community, and they are hoping that this massive, well-detailed update is the first step in establishing a more transparent and stable relationship with the players, who want to feel heard and respected. Bungie addresses almost all of the major concerns in this update from Eververse to XP rates and more.

Destiny 2's game director Christopher Barrett has outlined a number of changes and planned updates coming to the sequel in 2018, promising that the developer is "not just listening, we are doing".

The upcoming Crimson Days event (beginning on February 13th) will see the beginning of these changes. There are too many updates to list them all here but we added a few important ones below. This is now slated for release sometime in spring. To make this right, they have revealed some changes to the game. But the Destiny 2 team also provided a lengthy explanation of its current developmental goals.

Saudi Arabia Will Soon Have More Than 10000 Female Taxi Drivers
It also seeks to get Saudi families to spend more of their money on entertainment at home instead of going overseas to have fun. The World Economic Forum in 2016 had ranked the kingdom 141st out of 144 on gender parity, The Guardian reported .

The studio plans to add far more useful rewards to Destiny 2's endgame activities. Highlights of those tweaks include: "Shifting the balance of new content in favour of activity rewards over Bright Engrams", providing: "A gameplay path to earn Bright Engrams and all contained rewards (including Event Engrams),"and giving: "Players more direct purchase options, and making adjustments to Bright Engrams to allow players to get the items they want more often".

Later this year will come new Crucible playlists, "better clan rewards", masterworks for exoitc items, improvements to Trials of the Nine and much more. This will be a whole new way of how mods work for all items like armor and weapons.

Check out the full post a Bungie.net for more on Bungie's development roadmap. These include mods featuring Raid-specific perks, an adjustment to make sure Raid items drop with each major encounter. "We are excited to share the details as soon as we have them worked out".

Salvadorans, the Temporary Protected Status program
They've heard a very clear articulation of things that could happen that would fundamentally alter their lives, and for the worse. The Trump administration has taken a hard line on the policy, saying it never was meant to offer immigrants permanent residency.

Items now only found in Eververse (Ghosts, Sparrows, Ships) will be awarded in other activities, there will be a new "gameplay path" to Eververse engrams and items, and more ways to directly purchase them. Interestingly, the PC version of Destiny 2 will also get text chat in the Tower hub at this time.

Eververse is, unsurprisingly, not going anywhere - but it should hopefully dominate the game a little less as its main focus of rewards. Everything that seems to be constructed in order to coax you into spending more money pretty much stayed the same, despite fan protests.

Bungie is making changes to make quitting less common and behind-the-scenes security improvements to help improve the overall Crucible experience.
