Italian Supercar maker Lamborghini launched the much-awaited Urus SUV in India on Thursday. Hence, it is likely to be priced in the sub-3 crore price bracket in India and will sit below the Huracan and the flagship Aventador S. The Lamborghini Urus' pricing will put it up against the Bentley Bentayga, Range Rover SVAutobiography, and the Lexus LX, among others. The Urus Super SUV was first unveiled in December past year and will be manufactured at the Lamborghini's facility in Sant'Agata Bolognese in Italy. We are already aware that Lamborghini will making 1,000 units of the Urus SUV globally and out of that 25 units have been allotted to India.

Marketed as a super SUV with the underpinnings of a sports auto, the Urus is built on the Volkswagen Group's MLB EVO platform, which is shared by the Audi Q7, the Porsche Cayenne and the Volkswagen Tourarg and other cars.

The overall styling of the Lamborghini Urus takes inspiration from Lamborghin is of the past which includes Countach and the LM002.

Power comes from a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine that makes 650hp and 850Nm of torque, and is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
